January 2022 Weekend Gathering

The Outdoor Adventure Camps – Castle Mountain Site

IMPORTANT: Set your GPS to accept Ferry Crossings otherwise you may be taken the long way around on unpaved backroads


  • No Public Access – this is a private event on private property – only ticket holders may enter the property
  • No CASH tickets are available at the front gate this year
  • Negative RAPID ANTIGEN TEST (RAT) is a mandatory – BYO to be used at Front Gate – (No -ve RAT=No Entry)

  • $130 per person (pp) 16 years and over (plus 50c booking fee)
  • $5 pp between 6 to 15 years
  • $1 pp 5 years or under

Limited COVID 19 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) are available online  only – use ONLY as a last resort if you cannot source your own.


Entry ticket will be refunded if unable to attend for any reason but you need to request before Sunday 23rd January 2022.  COVID 19 Rapid Antigen Tests are NOT refundable


Sydney Confesters is committed to keeping this gathering as safe as possible for all attendees. People are potentially infectious two days before they test positive with a Rapid Antigen test, so we are recommending  the following precautions:

  • On arrival give a verbal confirmation you have no Covid Symptoms
  • Social separation (1.5 m)
  • Wearing masks (mandatory in communal camp kitchen)
  • Recommend hand washing/sanitising frequently
  • Disinfecting shared toilets/showers daily
  • No communal dish washing up facilities, bring your own basin
  • No self-serving of communal meals
  • Food Safety Handling protocols
  • Bring your camp chair

Meals are vegetarian – to keep costs down we rely on you to bring a donation food for our kitchen particularly fruit and vegetables. Watch our Facebook posts for suggestions


  • A condition of your ticket is to donate 2 hours to volunteering
  • We particularly need volunteers for set-up and packing up
  • We are unable to offer discount or no cost volunteer tickets
  • Without kitchen volunteers and/or team leaders for meals – you won’t be eating
  • We welcome kitchen leaders to volunteer to prepare a meal, and can help with ingredient costs if you can contact us before the event, or bring your docket


  • No pets permitted
  • No glass containers outside kitchen (Site Owner hire condition)
  • No nuts to be brought onsite (Site Owner hire condition)


  1. Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) – to be used at Front Gate
  2. Masks  (sufficient for the days you are attending)
  3. Hand Sanitizer
  4. Plate/Bowl, Cup/Glass & Cutlery (or disposables)
  5. Chair
  6. Washing up bucket/bowl & detergent (no communal facilities)
  7. Sun protection (hat, umbrella and/or sunscreen)
  8. Insect Repellent
  9. Snacks
  10. Positive expectation of connecting with others in a welcoming community

Thinking of running a workshop? Post it on the Facebook event page to promote it and get people excited to attend. This is a lovely, intimate way to share your knowledge and skills.

If you have a musical instrument, please bring it along with you. There is usually a drumming/music circle each night with dancing, joy and laughter to restore your body/mind system.


Sydney Confesters is committed to LEAVING NO TRACE – please bring rubbish bags to remove your own rubbish, and help dispose of non-composable community garbage at the end of the gathering

Make sure your GPS navigation software includes Ferry Crossings!

  • At the bottom of hill just as you enter Wiseman’s Ferry (before hotel) – TURN LEFT to Webbs Creek Car Ferry (runs 24/7 free).
  • After crossing the Hawkesbury River drive 100m. Take FIRST LEFT past signpost The Outdoor Adventure Company.
  • Drive 200m to an intersection – take RIGHT side onto dirt road – this is Webbs Creek Road.
  • Drive another 3km and you will see the Castle Mountain Log Entrance.
  • 500m further on you cross a suspension bridge and the Castle Mountain campsite is another 400m from there – WELCOME HOME SYDNEY CONFESTERS.
