Why I love Sydney ConFest Gatherings
Some previous participant's reasons for coming to Sydney ConFesters gatherings:
To share with others our food, thoughts, feelings, skills and experiences
A safe environment to explore your feelings and emotions
Communities bring people together
An opportunity to go camping and make new friends
Challenging and exploring boundaries
Challenge traditional views
A place to find love and acceptance
Bush university - constantly expanding my experiences
A chance to recharge
To discover my inner child and be child-like
Provide community for my children
Freedom, connection with friends, be with nature and myself
Building things. A sense of achievement.

Following an earlier Sydney Confesters Gathering I asked a few "young and first timers" for their impression of the gathering and whether they had any suggestions. Here is an extract from one of the replies:
"The gathering was fantastic. My friends and I enjoyed every single moment, so much so that we are now enthusiastically planning our future confest ventures.
In regards to comments and possible improvements I honestly don't have much to add. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, the workshops were fantastic and I think the only thing we struggled with was the temperature at night - much out of your control.
Next time we will make more of an effort to chat and get to know everyone, something we struggled with initially. But we very much appreciated the kindness of those who went out if their way to say hello.
We have no complaints and had no issues with the weekend. We wish it didn't have to end.
